I want to use the description section of my listing to address the “film/rubber” texture on top of some containers. When Tung oil (the main ingrediency) comes in contact with air (the air trapped under the lid when I screw it on), it can cause the Tung oil on the surface to harden over time. This is a normal process and the main reason I chose Tung oil. I wanted to make a product that would provide protection against everyday wear and tear and not just sit on the surface like olive oil waiting to be wiped off by someone’s arm or clothing. Yes, I could add some preservatives that I can’t pronounce to stop this, but I won’t! The only ingrediency I will ever use are Texas bees wax, carnauba wax, and pure raw tung oil. I make a family-safe product and will not change it for anyone.
