2. DE-PILL
Stretch your pilly item over a flat surface — like an ironing board — and use firm but gentle strokes to remove the offending pills and fuzz balls. Start in an inconspicuous area and work your way towards the center of the garment or fabric.
3. DE-LINT
Use the built-in lint brush to remove pet hair, lint and dandruff, or to beautifully finish any de-pilling job. To clean the lint brush, simply sweep one of the fabric safe edges across its surface a few times.

What else do I need to know?
How long do the edges last?
The longevity of the edges depends on how often you Gleen. With moderate use, the edges will last one to two years.
Can I Gleen my upholstery?
Yes! Gleener is recommended by high end furniture manufacturers for care and maintenance of their fabrics. Be sure to test the appropriate edge in an area out of view. Also, exercise caution if there are any intentional weaves or embroideries.
Is there anything that shouldn’t be Gleened?
Yes, although Gleener Fabric shavers are highly effective for most garments and upholsteries, it is NOT recommended for use on flannel as it wears out the edge surfaces too quickly. Spandex and polyester athletic gear, burnout fabrics and ultra-thin or shear t-shirts are also not recommended for Gleener use. Similarly, the Gleener should not be used on fabrics that contain embroidery, deliberate textures or very loose weaves.
How do I clean the lint brush?
Rub edge 1 in the direction of the lint brush’s grain to remove excess fuzz.
How to Gleen
Lay your garment down on a clean, hard surface — an ironing board is ideal. Hold and slightly stretch the garment with one hand, and Gleen with the other. Depending on the size of the pills and the composition of the fiber, you may need to apply more pressure. Garments made with acrylic are tougher to Gleen as their material composition is stronger than natural fibres.
How often can I Gleen a garment?
Like so many things in life… moderation! Exercise good judgment, making sure to Gleen only when needed. Many people practice what we call “Spring Gleening” reviving clothing and home textiles all over their home in one session, once a year. Sweaters can be Gleened more often, especially on the sleeves, and underarm areas.
